Let’s be real, with the pandemic and lockdown going on, May has been one hell of a weird month. I miss meeting my friends out for a coffee, going window shopping in town, and spending all my money on clothes I don’t actually need.
But while there is no way I am going out if I don’t absolutely have to, I can still spend all my money on clothes I don’t need! Thank you, Online Shopping Gods! So, without further ado, let’s get into all the clothes I have bought in May.
ASOS
One of my absolute favorite online shops for clothes is ASOS. They have literally anything you could imagine. From simple basics to fancy dresses, they stock everything. They have a beautiful plus size collection ranging from their own to very high-class brands. Apart from the price of some items, ASOS definitely is my fav.
So, here is what I got:
Black Mom Jeans
I have one pair of really lovely mom jeans from H&M, but as a plus size girl, these are really hard to find. I was so happy to have found these. They are super high waist, very comfortable, and have a really nice color. The only issue I have had with them is that they are a tad long. But I have just cut off two inches at the bottom, and now they are perfect.
Oversized Nike Hoodie
I am a sucker for a nice hoodie. I have about 20 in my wardrobe, and I am not planning on stopping to get new ones any time soon. This one I actually got twice. I had bought it once at the beginning of April but accidentally got bleach over the front while I was tie-dying a shirt. As annoying as it was, I decided to get a new black one, and just tie-dye die old one as well. Now I have two super comfy Nike hoodies, and I am not mad about it.
Brooklyn Crop Top
Believe it or not, this crop top is actually from the men’s section. It has the perfect length for a crop, and I love the detailing on the sleeves. I highly recommend checking out the men’s section for some cute pieces!
Missguided
I have recently discovered Misguided for myself. While ASOS also carries them, the prices on their own website are way better! They have a sale going on almost all the time. And if not, check out my 30% off reference code here!
Black Jeans Skirt
I have been looking for a black mini skirt everywhere. However, it was tough to find one that would be nice and cinched in at the waist but also be flattering on my butt and thighs. This one is perfect. I love the deep black, and it has the perfect length.
Corset T-Shirt Dress
I have seen this dress on one of @itsdanidmc’s YouTube videos, and I fell in love. Even without the belt, it is the perfect long-sleeved t-shirt dress, but the belt just gives it the extra detailing it needs. Perfect for all seasons, but I cannot wait to wear the hell out of it in fall!
Cycling Shorts
One of my favorite trends for summer are cycling shorts and an oversized shirt. Nothing beats this look. So, I have picked up a pair, and I am so excited about them. They are the perfect width on the leg and don’t cut off circulation even when sitting. I highly recommend these for thick thighs!
H&M
I know H&M’s plus size collection does not have the best reputation, but I really do believe that people should give them a chance. They don’t always have the best pieces, and the cut of their jeans is an absolute joke, but you can find some gems there.
Polka Dot Dress
This dress is in their classic tunic cut, which they bring back in different patterns and with different sleeve lengths every year. It is a cute dress without any accessories, but with a belt, I think it is just beautiful. It might be a tad short, but honestly, I don’t mind.
Polka Dot Shirt
Apparently, I had a theme when shopping at H&M. This shit is made from a nice and thick material that holds you in perfectly. The puffed sleeves just give it a little extra something. Paired with dungarees or high waisted pants, it is just perfect.
Shoes
Shoe-wise I might have gone a little overboard this month. I bought a pair of Vans, a pair of Converse, some Birkenstocks and a pair of Boots from Primark (yes, I admit it, I sneaked into Primark real quick to have a look around – don’t judge!)
Love the outfits x
