I am from the south of Germany – and to say I am proud of my culture is an understatement. I am a Swabian through and through. I enjoy the culture, the people and the geography of my home. But more than anything else, I love the food.
Swabian food is comfort food. It is hearty, filling and makes you feel oh so good. It is hard to choose a favourite, but Haschee is definitely up there.
It is a sauce with ground beef, tomato paste, mustard and all the good things you can come up with. And above it all, it is super easy to make, freez-able and absolutely delicious. Have it traditionally with spätzle or potatoes or mix it up and have it with any side you like.
